    Warning
Do not perform this procedure if you have a metal or electronic surgical implant (such as a metal plate, pins, joints, or pacemaker). Risks of improper use include death, serious injury, damage to property, and smoke. Persons with metal or electronic surgical implants must remain at least 1 m (3 ft) away from the inductive heating tool while it is in use. The inductive heating tool coil, bolt, and adjacent areas can be extremely hot after use of the inductive heating tool.

Before use of the inductive heating tool:

    • Make sure to remove all metallic items (such as coins, keys, electronics, and tools) from pockets.
    • Make sure that there is a properly-maintained fire extinguisher in the work area.
    • Make sure that the area is well-ventilated.
    1. Move any adjacent wiring harnesses away from the work area.
    2. Position the inductive heating tool coil around the bolt, then heat the bolt for 20 seconds.
