Seal - Primary - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal
- Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
- Remove the LH upper rear door glass assembly. See Door Glass - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)

Release the LH primary rear side
body seal from the body, and then remove the seal from the vehicle.
NotePull the seal inward to remove as much tape as possible from the body. Shift the seal up and over the LH rear door to fully remove it.NoteDiscard the seal as it cannot be reused.

Remove residual adhesive from the
body.
NoteRemove the majority of the residual adhesive with the an eraser wheel, and then wipe with IPA.NoteRemoval may be more difficult when exposed to heat.NoteAllow 1 minute of dry time.
Installation

Position the LH primary rear side
body seal for installation.
NotePosition flange in seal between the primary hinges.

Install the new rear door primary
seal.

Install the butyl rubber rope onto the vehicle.
- Remove the adhesive tape.
- Install the 2mm butyl rubber rope along the outer side of the main seal, ensuring that the butyl rubber rope continuously wraps around the entire door opening.
- Stack the rubber appropriately at the sheet metal joints to ensure there is no gap between the main seal and the sheet metal part.
- After installation, press the outer side of the main seal to ensure it is flush with the body.
- Install the LH upper rear door glass assembly. See Door Glass - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace)
- Close all the doors windows.
