Latch - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 11355002

Removal

  1. Remove the middle liftgate trim (refer to procedure).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the liftgate latch.
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the liftgate latch to the liftgate (torque 10 Nm).
  4. Unhook the cinching cable from the eyelet on the latch assembly.
  5. Use a pick to release the cinching cable from the retaining clip on the latch assembly.
  6. Remove the liftgate latch assembly from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  1. Power the cinch motor until the correct alignment is reached. Open the liftgate and torque tighten the bolts.
