HV Harness - Front Drive Unit (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Remove the 12 V battery cage. See Cage - Battery - Auxiliary - 12V (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the coolant fluid level
sensor

Remove bolts to release coolant
bottle
Note4x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

Raise vehicle fully and lower lift
onto locks
NoteSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged
- Remove the front skidplate. See Skidplate - Front (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the front drive unit

Remove the fir tree clip from the DU
enclosure

Disconnect the front drive unit oil
pump connector

Remove the fir tree clip from the oil
chiller

Lower vehicle to comfortable working
height
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Remove the fir tree clips located next
to the A/C compressor

Remove the fir tree clips located on
the top of the drive unit
Note4x fir tree clip

Inspect and put on HV gloves and leather over gloves.
WarningMake sure that the HV insulating gloves are not expired. Refer to TN-15-92-003 for glove regional expiration information.

Disconnect the front drive unit

Remove the fir tree clip next to the
drive unit connector

Remove edge clip securing FDU logic
harness to connector bracket
Note1x edge clip

Disconnect FDU logic connector and set
harness aside
Note1x connector, disengage red locking tab

Remove bolts securing FDU harness
bracket
Note2x bolts, EP10, 5 Nm + 20 degrees

Remove the FDU harness from the
vehicle
Install
-
Position the FDU harness to vehicle
for installation
-
Install the FDU harness bracket
Note2x bolts, EP10, 5 Nm + 20 degrees

Connect FDU logic connector
Note1x electrical connector, engage red locking tab

Install edge clip securing FDU logic
harness to connector bracket
Note1x edge clip

Connect the front drive unit
connector

Install the fir tree clip

Install the harness fir tree clips
located on the top of the drive unit

Install the harness fir tree clip
located next to the A/C compressor

Raise vehicle fully and lower lift
onto locks

Connect the front drive unit oil pump

Connect the front drive unit

- Install the front skidplate. See Skidplate - Front (Remove and Replace).

Lower vehicle to comfortable working
height
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Install coolant reservoir
Note4x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

Connect coolant reservoir level sensor

- Install the 12 V battery cage. See Cage - Battery - Auxiliary - 12V (Remove and Replace).

Remove vehicle from lift
NoteLower rack arms fully and move them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode", Via Controls > Service > Jack Mode

Calibrate falcon doors via UI
NoteVia Controls > Calibrate, Required after 12V and FRL disconnect

Raise LH front window
-
Close LH front door
