Sensor - Wheel Speed - ABS - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 33100502
Warning
If the vehicle has air
suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and
supporting the vehicle.
Removal
- Remove the HEPA filter housing (refer to procedure).
- Remove the front LH wheel (refer to procedure).

Release the rearmost push clips (x7) that secure the wheel arch liner.

Remove the rear nut that secures the wheel arch liner to the stud on the chassis
(torque 6 Nm).
- Move the rear portion of the wheel arch liner forward for access.
- Release the fir tree clip that secures the wheel speed sensor harness to the body of the vehicle.

Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

Release the wheel speed sensor from the bracket on the knuckle and bracket on
the body of the vehicle.

Release the fir tree clip that secures the wheel speed sensor to the
knuckle.

Remove the bolt that secures the wheel speed sensor to the knuckle (torque 8
Nm).
- Remove the wheel speed sensor from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
Note
Perform a test drive that
includes a minimum speed of 25mph in straight line for at least five seconds to
allow the ESP internal system checks to complete. The ESP faults will clear if
the vehicle is repaired correctly. If faults are persistent after the test
drive, continue troubleshooting the repair.
