Brake Lines - 2 Tube Bundle - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Removal
- Remove the front wheels (refer to procedure).
- Loosen the rear of the LH front wheel arch liner. Fold the wheel arch liner forward to access the rear of the wheelwell in a later step.
- Remove the HV Battery (refer to procedure).
- Remove the rear subframe (refer to procedure).

Working in the LH front
wheelwell, release the nuts that secure the 2 tube bundle to the 4 tube
bundle (torque 14 Nm).
CAUTIONClean the surrounding area prior to removing the component.CAUTIONTo prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold the backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.NotePlace suitable absorbent material around the affected area to absorb any possible fluid spillage.CAUTIONIf brake fluid is spilled on a painted surface, wash off immediately with clean water.

Loosen the nuts that secure
the brake pipes to the LH and RH rear brake hoses, and then disconnect the
brake pipes from the hoses (torque 14 Nm).
CAUTIONClean the surrounding area prior to removing the component.CAUTIONTo prevent damage always use a suitable wrench to hold the backing nut when loosening pipes and unions.NotePlace suitable absorbent material around the affected area to absorb any possible fluid spillage.CAUTIONIf brake fluid is spilled on a painted surface, wash off immediately with clean water.NoteComponents have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.

Remove the nuts that secure the HV cables to the body (torque 8.3 Nm).
- Pull the HV cables away from the body to provide space to maneuver the brake line bundle.

Starting at the LH front wheelwell, release the brake line bundle from the
clips and remove the brake line bundle from the vehicle.
NotePlace suitable absorbent material around the affected area to absorb any possible fluid spillage.CAUTIONIf brake fluid is spilled on a painted surface, wash off immediately with clean water.
Installation
- When installing the brake line bundle, start at the RH rear of the vehicle.
- Bleed the brakes (refer to procedure).
