Steering Rack (LHD) (3rd Generation) (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 32013102

This procedure is for vehicles built after April 24, 2019.

Removal

Remove the front subframe assembly. See Subframe Assembly - Front - 2nd Generation (LHD) (Remove and Install).
Remove the front stabar assembly from the subframe.
Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the steering gear assembly to the front subframe.
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install the bolts (x3) that attach the steering gear assembly to the front subframe.
167 Nm (123.2 lbs-ft)
Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Ratchet/torque wrench
Install the front stabar bar on the subframe assembly.
Install the front subframe assembly. See Subframe Assembly - Front - 2nd Generation (LHD) (Remove and Install).
Reinstall the vehicle software. See Firmware Reinstall - Touchscreen.
