Molding - Rocker Panel - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 12202002

Removal

  1. Air suspension vehicles: Set the suspension to the "High" setting.
  2. Release the clips at the front of the rear arch liner and pull back the arch liner for access.
  3. Remove the bolts that secure the rear of the rocker panel molding to the body (torque 3 Nm).
  4. Remove the bolt that secures the bottom of the rear wheel fairing to the rocker panel (torque 3 Nm).
  5. Remove the rear wheel fairing from the vehicle.
  6. Loosen the rear section of the front wheel garnish for access (refer to procedure).
  7. Remove the screw that secures the front of the rocker panel molding (torque 3 Nm).
  8. Open the covers (x5) on the bottom of the rocker panel molding to expose the hidden push clips.
  9. Remove the push clips (x6) that secure the rocker panel molding to the bottom of the rocker panel.

    CAUTION
    Replace any broken clips.
  10. Release the clips (x14) that secure the rocker panel molding to the rocker panel carrier.

  11. Remove the rocker panel molding from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
