Cladding - Door - Rear - Wheel Arch - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Open the rear door to a comfortable working height.
  2. Use a trim tool to carefully release the clips (x4) and double sided tape that secure the cladding to the rear door.

    Take care not to damage component(s).
  3. Remove the rear door wheel arch cladding.

    Note
    If the cladding has an electrical harness, cut the harness at the cladding, and wrap the harness wires with electrical tape.

Installation

  1. Clean any remaining double sided tape residue.
  2. Apply new tape if reinstalling the cladding. Remove the tape backing.
  3. Install the bottom clip first, then install the remaining clips (x3) working towards the rear of the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Failure to install the bottom clip first can result in poor seating of the cladding.
  4. Press firmly on the cladding using a silicone seam roller to completely seal the tape.
  5. Close the rear door and ensure that the door cladding is aligned properly.
  6. If the cladding removed had an electrical harness, change the vehicle's "falcon_cap_sensor" gateway configuration parameter to "Cap Sensor Not Installed". See Gateway Configuration (Display and Change).
