Assembly - Frame - Instrument Cluster (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 14052302

Removal

  1. Remove the lower dash trim (refer to procedure).
  2. Release the clips (x4) that secure the binnacle cover panel. Remove the binnacle cover panel.

    CAUTION
    Take care not to damage component(s).
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the top pad to the instrument panel carrier (torque 1.2 Nm).
  4. Cover the chrome strips at the base of the top pad with tape.

    CAUTION
    If the aluminum strips are not covered with tape, they may be damaged when the top pad is removed in later steps.
  5. Gently lift up on the left side of the top pad to release the clips. Use a small wedge or other object to prop it up.

    CAUTION
    Take care not to damage component(s).
  6. Release the clips (x2) that secure the steering column cover to the instrument cluster bezel.
  7. Remove screws (x4) that secure the instrument cluster frame to dash (torque 2.3 Nm).
  8. Remove the instrument cluster frame from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Replace any broken clips.
