  40. Apply tape onto exterior A-pillars

  41. Cut length of square wire
  42. Secure wire to starter tool and push tool through urethane at lower RH side
  43. Remove wire from starter tool and secure to T-handles
  44. Pull wire starter tool back through into vehicle
  45. Use T-handles to cut urethane securing windshield to body

  46. Cut square wire and remove from vehicle and T-handles

  50. Inspect windshield for any damage that is not reworkable

    Replace windshield if there is any damage that can not be rectified. Damages include: cracked glass, damaged heater grids, damaged/separating triple camera mount
  51. Clean and remove old adhesive from the windshield frame
  52. Remove tape from exterior A-pillars and headliner

Windshield Preparation

  1. Remove urethane bead and windshield seals from glass

  8. Install windshield edge seal

    Follow windshield alignment marks at upper corners of glass. Start from one corner and peel tape as you apply inch by inch to ensure proper fitment.

  16. Perform any adjustments for new windshield

Install

  1. Clean the windshield as needed. Take special caution to the forward-facing camera area to ensure a clear view of the forward-facing camera. See Clear Forward Camera View (Precision Cleaning Of Inboard Windshield).
  2. Clean primer path on windshield

    Ensure inside of glass is clean and smudge free near VIN plate as it won't be accessible once installed
  3. Apply urethane primer to windshield and vehicle body along old urethane path

    Make sure to add primer over any areas that were scratched during windshield removal. Allow primer to dry before applying urethane.
  4. Prepare caulking gun and urethane

  5. Apply urethane following primer path on windshield
