Inline Fuse (175A) (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the underhood fusebox. (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the LH and RH shock tower brace (refer to procedure).
  3. Remove the wiper motor assembly (refer to procedure).
  4. Remove the brackets (x2) that attach the air suspension reservoir to the vehicle.

    Do not disconnect the air lines to the reservoir.

    Carefully move the reservoir out of the way, but do not remove it from the vehicle.
  5. Use a blade knife to carefully remove the heat-shrink from the inline fuse housing.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to damage any other components or wiring in the area.
  6. Release the clips (x2) that attach the inline fuse cover to the inline fuse.
  7. Remove the inline fuse and lower fuse housing from the cables (torque 5 Nm).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
  • Use 3-1/2 in (90 mm) of heat-shrink on the new section of the cable on the E-fuse side.
  • Install tape between new heat-shrink tubing and existing cable protection.
