NoteThe nut can be reused.
-
Setup hub puller onto the RH hub
assembly.
Note2x lug nuts, 2x hub puller washers
-
With assistance, use the hub puller to
free the RH halfshaft from hub splines.
WarningTo reduce the risk of personal injury, wear cut resistant gloves and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when removing the halfshaft. Keep hands clear from other components to prevent injury when the halfshaft releases from the Drive Unit.
-
Remove the hub puller from RH hub
assembly.
-
Release the grommets (x2) and clip
that attaches the RH wheel speed sensor harness to the RH front knuckle.
-
Remove the nut that attaches the RH
knuckle to upper control arm ball joint.
Note1x nut, 15mm, 1x bolt, T50, 60 Nm, Hold the bolt in place to prevent turning while removing the nut, Discard nut after removal.
-
Disconnect the RH knuckle from the
upper control arm.
Note1x bolt, T50, While holding the upper control arm to the ball joint, slide the bolt out of the top of the knuckle. This will release the knuckle from the upper control arm ball joint. Support the knuckle as the ball joint is released.

Install
-
Install the RH axle to the
jackshaft.
NoteCarefully push the halfshaft into the drive unit until there is an audible "click" from the halfshaft stub contacting the pinion shaft. There will be a slight pulling sensation on the halfshaft as the halfshaft circlip locks into place. Pull on the inner halfshaft cup to confirm that the circlip is locked into place. If the halfshaft detaches from the drive unit, then reinstall the halfshaft and then test that it is fully seated.
-
Apply Molykote M-77 to the outboard
side of RH axle shaft.
NoteClean if necessary. Apply no more than 1 gram to the axle only.
-
Install the RH halfshaft into hub and
bearing assembly with new lock washer and nut hand tight.
Note1x nut, 1x washer, 32mm, 245 Nm. Use a new washer. The nut can be reused. Do not torque at this time.
-
Loosely install the bolt and nut that
attach the RH front shock absorber to the rear lower control arm.
Note1x nut, 21mm, 1x bolt, 21mm, 140 Nm, Install new fasteners. Torque at a later step.
-
Secure RH front knuckle to upper
control arm.
Note1x bolt, T50, 1x patch nut, 15mm, 60 Nm. Install new fastener
