Release Cable - Easy Entry - 2nd Row - RH (Remove & Replace)

Remove
- Open all doors and lower all windows.
- Open the liftgate.
- Move both front seats forward.
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the HEPA filter. See Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the 2nd row floor mat.
- Remove the LH rear sill panel. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Move the 60 seat fully forward.
- Tape the LH lower C-pillar area around the 2nd row seat side trim area.
- Apply tape to the LH racetrack to avoid damage.
- Remove the lower C-pillar trim panel. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- If equipped, fold down the 3rd row seats.
- Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove screws securing C-pillar lower
panel to LH parcel shelf support
Note2x screws, T20, 2 Nm
-
Release clips securing rear edge of LH
C-pillar lower panel to rear trunk side carpet panel and pull top edge of C-pillar lower
panel out
Note2x clips, 1x magnet
-
Release clips securing LH C-pillar
lower panel along front edge and remove panel
Note9x clips, 1x magnet
- Remove the RH rear sill panel. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove screw securing RH C-pillar mid
trim
Note1x screw, T20, 2 Nm
-
Release clips (x9) securing RH
C-pillar mid trim and remove
-
Remove fasteners securing C-pillar
lower panel to RH parcel shelf support
Note2x screws, T20, 2 Nm
-
Remove RH rear welcome plate
Note8x clips
-
Remove front screw securing RH lower
C-pillar
Note1x screw, T25, 2.5 Nm
-
Remove RH rear door sill trim
Note1x patch bolt, T25, 2.5 Nm, 2x clips
-
Move 40 seat fully forward using easy
entry
-
Tape the RH lower C-pillar area around
the 2nd row seat side trim area
-
Release clips securing RH C-pillar
lower panel along front edge and remove panel
Note9x clips, 1x magnet
-
Move 40 seat back and out of easy
entry position
-
Move 60 seat back and out of easy
entry position
-
Tape rear center console cup holder
trim to prevent from damage
-
Remove 2nd row floor panel 2
Note6x clips, Replace any broken clips, Lift the front of panel toward the rear of the vehicle, then pull the floor panel out

Move 60 seat fully forward using easy
entry
-
Move 40 seat fully forward using easy
entry
-
Remove 2nd row floor panel 3
Note2x clips, Release clips from front edge of panel, Once free, lift rear of panel and slide out from behind seats
-
Power down vehicle
NoteVia center display > Controls > Safety > Power Off
-
Disconnect 12V negative terminal and
First Responder Loop
Note1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x connector, Wait at least 2 minutes before disconnecting modules or HV components

Remove RH bench seat floor
support

Remove center bench seat floor
support
-
Disconnect 40 seat harness
Note2x connectors, Release bracket for better access

Release harness from RH floor support

Remove RH inner sliding closeout
panel
Note1x clip, Need to peel sticker back to release clip

Remove RH outer sliding closeout
panel
Note1x clip, Need to peel sticker back to release clip

Remove fasteners securing 40
bench
Note12x patch bolts, 11mm, 45 Nm, Discard patch bolts after removal

Fold down 40 seat
-
Remove 40 seat assembly from
vehicle

Unfold seat

Remove 40 seat assembly release handle
NotePry at pivot point to release

Release J hooks that attach RH toe
kick at back of seat

Remove push clip securing RH outer
front side shield on to seat
Note1x push clip

Remove fastener securing RH outer rear
side shield on to seat frame
Note1x bolt, 10mm, 0.5 Nm
-
Remove second row RH outer side
shield
Note4x clips, Release outer shield clips to help remove
-
Remove the seat belt from the RH 40
seat
Note1x bolt, T50, 45 Nm
-
Disconnect buckle connector and
release edge clip
Note1x connector, 1x edge clip
-
Remove buckle from seat
Note1x bolt, T50, 45 Nm, Discard after removal
-
Release upholstery from under side of
the RH 40 seat assembly
Note6x J-hooks
-
Disconnect seat cushion
connectors
Note1x gray connector, 1x black connector, Black connector must be released from seat frame
-
Remove lower seat cushion from RH 40
seat assembly
NoteUse caution feeding J-hooks and connectors through seat frame
-
Fold 40 seat down
NoteWill need to install handle back on but remove the retaining clip
-
Unzip the 40 seat back upholstery on
both sides
Note2x Zippers, Ends of zippers are tucked underneath upholstery, Using a pick will aid in moving the zipper
-
Release the 40 seat back upholstery
NoteRelease J-hook holding the back down
-
Remove 40 seat plastic back

Release harness clip

Disconnect connector

Remove metal clip from 40 seat

Note1x metal clip, Relieve tension on metal clip by moving slider inwards into housing, Discard clip after removal

Release cable from actuator slide
assembly
NoteUse caution, Do not damage cable locating plastic

Remove clip from actuator slider
assembly

Release actuator slider assembly clip
from seat frame

Move actuator slider assembly closer
to cable to relieve tension
NoteMove towards direction of actuator cable, Do not kink or damage cable

Release cable end fitting from slider
NoteFlip slider vertically, Using a 90 degree pick release end fitting from open slot, Do not kink or damage cable

Unfold the 60 seat assembly
-
Remove fasteners securing the 40 LH
outer riser cover
Note3x screws, T20, 0.05 Nm
-
Remove fastener securing the 40 LH
inner riser cover
Note1x screw, T20, 0.05 Nm
-
Remove 40 LH cover from seat
Note2x clips
-
Remove fasteners securing the 40 RH
inner riser cover
Note3x screws, T20, 0.05 Nm

Remove fastener securing the 40 RH
outer riser cover
Note1x screw, T20, 0.05 Nm

Remove 40 RH cover from seat

Release the lower part of the back
cushion from seat frame
NoteThis gives you room need to remove the trim.
- Release the cable clips (x2) from the 40 RH side of riser.
- Use plastic trim tool to pry the cable clips (x2) away from the cable retainer, and then release the cable from the 40 outer track actuator.
- Use plastic trim tool to pry the cable clips (x2) away from the cable retainer, and then release the cable from the 40 inner track actuator.
- Remove the EZ entry track release cable assembly from the 40 seat.
Install

Position EZ entry track release cable
assembly to 40 seat

Install cable onto 40 LH outer track
actuator
Note2x clips, Firmly press cable clip into cable retainer till cable is secured to track actuator

Install cable onto 40 RH inner track
actuator
Note2x clips, Firmly press cable clip into cable retainer till cable is secured to track actuator

Install cable clips at 40 RH side of
riser

Install 40 RH inner cover on to seat
frame

Install 40 LH outer cover on to seat
frame

Install the 40 RH outer
fasteners
Note3x screws, T20, 0.5 Nm

Install the 40 RH inner
fasteners
Note1x screw, T20, 0.5 Nm

Install the 40 LH inner fasteners

Install the 40 LH outer fasteners

Reinstall the lower part of the back
rest cushion

Fold seat down
-
Install actuator slider
NoteInstall vertically, Use bent needle nose pliers to hold cable end fitting in place, Insert end fitting into slider opening, Be cautious, Do not kink or damage cable

Secure cable to actuator slider

Fasten actuator slider assembly to
seat frame

Install new clip onto actuator slider

Note1x metal clip, Apply forward pressure to slider to install metal clip, Use flat side of plastic trim tool to aid on install, Do not deform or damage clip, Verify operation, ensure proper functionality

Install 40 seat plastic back cover

Zip up 40 seat back trim subassembly

Install lower seat cushion to RH 40
seat assembly

Connect seat cushion connectors

Secure upholstery to under side of 40
seat assembly

Install seat belt to the RH 40

Install second row RH outer side

Note4x clips, Ensure rear cover is tucked behind seat retainer

Install fastener securing RH outer
rear trim on to seat
Note1x bolt, 10 mm, 0.5 Nm

Install J hooks that attach RH toe
kick at back of seat

Install push clip securing RH outer
front side shield on to seat

Install 40 seat release handle

Install seat belt buckle
Note1x bolt, T50, 45 Nm, Install new patch bolt

Fold seat down

Install 40 seat assembly into
vehicle
NoteRecommend assistance, Make sure guide pins are aligned properly

Unfold the 40 seat assembly

Install forward most 40 seat track
bolts hand tight
Note2x patch bolts, 11mm, 45 Nm, Install new patch bolts

Secure 40 seat harness to RH floor
support bracket

Connect 40 seat assembly harness
Note2x connectors, Secure connector housing to bracket

Connect first responder loop and then
12V negative terminal
Note1x connector, 1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm

Move 40 seat fully forward using easy
entry

Install rear center 40 seat track

Note2x patch bolts, 11mm, 45 Nm, Install new patch bolts

Install remaining rear 40 seat track
bolts

Move 40 seat back and out of easy
entry position

Torque forward most 40 seat track

Install remaining front 40 seat track

Install center bench seat floor

Install RH bench seat floor

Install RH inner sliding closeout
panel
Note1x clip, Need to lay sticker back down to cover the fastener

Install RH outer sliding closeout

Move 40 seat fully forward using easy

Note6x clips, Replace clips if damaged, Install rear of panel into position and then secure clips

Remove tape from rear center console

Install frunk carpet

Move RH front seat to original
position

Calibrate falcon doors via UI
