Hose - 4-Way Valve to Chiller (2nd Generation) (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 18309202

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift .
  2. Remove the rear center underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Center - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Remove the front underhood apron. See Assembly - Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the LH and RH underhood storage area lights. See Light - Underhood Storage Area - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Remove the underhood storage carpet. See Carpet - Underhood Storage (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Remove the HEPA filter. See Filter - HEPA (Remove and Replace).
  9. Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power .
  10. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace) .
  11. Put the coolant drain container underneath the LH front corner of the vehicle to catch coolant that might spill during the next steps.
  12. Remove the clip that attaches the cowl screen drain hose to the front subframe assembly.
  13. Disconnect the hose clamp at the 4-way valve-to-chiller (valve side) using a pair of long needle nose pliers, and then remove the hose from the 4-way valve.
  14. Remove the edge clip that attaches the 4-way valve-to-chiller hose to the front subframe assembly.
  15. Remove the fir tree clip that attaches the 4-way valve-to-chiller hose to the front subframe assembly.
  16. Disconnect the hose clamp that attaches the hose at the chiller using flexible spring band clamp pliers.
  17. Remove the 4-way valve-to-chiller hose from the chiller, and then remove the hose from the vehicle.
