Coolant Heater - Electric - Battery (RHD) (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 18307402 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Removal

  1. Remove the wiper module. See Wiper Module (RHD) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the clip that attaches the 12V harness from the wiper mount bracket.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) and nuts (x2) that attach the wiper mount bracket to the vehicle.
  4. Release the clips that attach the LH front air suspension line from the air suspension reservoir.
  5. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the air suspension reservoir to the body.
  6. Carefully move the air suspension reservoir aside.
  7. Disconnect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  8. Verify the correct operation of the multimeter.

    Note
    Confirm that the multimeter is accurately measuring the voltage by testing it on the 12V battery.
  9. Remove the HV battery. See HV Battery (AWD) (Remove and Install).
  10. Fully lower the vehicle.
  11. Disconnect the HV battery heater connector from the front junction box.
  12. Maneuver the HV battery heater cable past the HV FDU cable towards the bottom of the vehicle.
  13. Fully raise the vehicle.
  14. Install a coolant clamp on the HV battery heater to DC-DC hose.
  15. Remove the bolt and nut that attach the HV battery heater to the body.

    1x bolt, 1x nut, 10mm, 7 Nm
  16. Disconnect the lower coolant hose from the HV battery heater.
  17. Release the clips (x2) that attach the HV battery heater cable from the bulkhead.
  18. Remove the nut and clip that attaches the FDU HV cable to the HV battery heater
  19. Disconnect the HV battery heater logic connector.
  20. Release the clip that attaches the HV battery heater connector to the bracket.
  21. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the HV battery heater bracket to the vehicle.
  22. Remove the HV battery heater, release the hose clamp, and then remove the HV battery heater from the vehicle.

  1. Position the HV battery heater into vehicle, install the hose clamp, and then install the HV battery heater in position.
  2. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the bracket to HV battery heater (torque 8 Nm).

    Note
    Move the HV battery heater as needed.
  3. Install the HV battery connector to the bracket.
  4. Connect HV battery heater logic connector.
  5. Install the nut that attaches the FDU HV cable to the HV battery heater (torque 7 Nm).
  6. Install the clips (x2) that attach the HV battery heater cable to the bulkhead.
  7. Install the lower HV battery heater coolant hose.
  8. Install the bolt and nut that attach the HV battery heater onto the body (torque 7 Nm).
  9. Remove the coolant clamp from the HV battery heater to DC-DC hose.
  10. Maneuver the HV battery heater cable past the HV FDU cable towards the upper area of the vehicle.

    Note
    Cable is routed between the FJB and DC-DC.
  11. Install the HV battery. See HV Battery (AWD) (Remove and Install).
  12. Connect the HV battery heater to the front junction box.
  13. Install the air suspension reservoir to the body.
  14. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the air suspension reservoir to the body (torque 6 Nm).
  15. Install the clips (x2) that attach the LH front air suspension line to the air suspension reservoir.
  16. Install the bolts (x2) and nuts (x2) that attach the wiper mount bracket to the vehicle. Torque bolts and nuts to 20 Nm.
  17. Install the clip that attaches the 12V harness to wiper mount bracket.
  18. Install the wiper module assembly and all parts that were removed for removal of the wiper module assembly. See Wiper Module (RHD) (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    Do not yet install the HEPA filter housing and the HEPA filter.
  19. Connect 12V power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
  20. Using Toolbox 3, perform a coolant air purge. See Cooling System - Partial Refill and Bleed.
  21. Install the HEPA filter housing.
  22. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  23. If the alert is present on the touchscreen, calibrate the falcon doors.
  24. Remove vehicle from lift and disable Jack Mode.
  25. Exit Service Mode through the touchscreen.
