Stabilizer Bar - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear subframe (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the stabilizer bar to the drop link (torque 70 Nm).

    CAUTION
    To prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the stabilizer bar brackets to the subframe.
  4. Remove the rear stabilizer bar.

Install

CAUTION
Replace all patchbolt(s).

CAUTION
Replace all nylon-insert locknuts.
  1. Install the stabilizer bar to ther rear subframe.
  2. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the stabilizer bar brackets to the subframe (torque 70 Nm).
  3. Install the nuts (x2) that attach the stabilizer bar to the drop link (torque 70 Nm).

  4. Install the rear subframe (refer to procedure).
  5. Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
