Module - Rear Door Electromechanical Controller - RH (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 11336022

Remove

  1. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the spine closing plate (refer to procedure).
  3. Disconnect the harnesses from the module.
    Tip: Mark the location of the connectors so that they are reinstalled correctly.
  4. Release the fasteners that secure the module (torque 1.5 Nm).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Note
If the rear door requires adjustment, refer to TN-16-11-002, "Adjusting the Rear Doors (Falcon Wing Doors) on Model X" for instructions.
  1. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  2. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.
  3. In Toolbox 3, select the Actions tab and search for "BCFALC".
    • When the driver side rear door electromechanical controller module was replaced, select the ODIN routine PROC_BCFALCD_FALCON-DRV_SIDE-LEARNvia Toolbox: (link), and then click the link of the routine.
    • When the passenger side rear door electromechanical controller module was replaced. select the ODIN routine PROC_BCFALCP_FALCON-PASS_SIDE-LEARNvia Toolbox: (link), and then click the link of the routine.
  4. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
  5. Working from the front row, press and hold the B-Pillar rear door switch until the door fully cinches closed.
  6. Touch and hold the CALIBRATE button on the Model X touchscreen until the rear doors have been fully calibrated, close completely, and the message "CALIBRATION COMPLETE" is displayed.
  7. Update the vehicle firmware. See Firmware Update.

    The rear doors must be closed while performing the firmware update.
