Actuator - Inlet (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Open the RH front door.
  2. Lower the RH front window.
  3. Using the touchscreen, turn off the climate control system.
  4. Move the front passenger seat rearwards.
  5. Release the RH side center console trim. See Trim - Center Console - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the RH front floor mat.
  7. Remove the RH center console closeout extension. See Closeout Extension - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the passenger footwell cover assembly. See Assembly - Cover - Footwell - Passenger's (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the RH instrumental panel side cover assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel Side Cover - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  11. Disconnect the RH upper HVAC duct connector, remove the screw that attaches the duct to the HVAC assembly, and then remove the duct from the HVAC assembly.
  12. Disconnect the inlet actuator connector, remove the screws (x3) that attach the actuator to the HVAC assembly, and then remove the actuator from the vehicle.

Installation

  1. Position the inlet actuator on the vehicle, install the screws (x3) that attach the actuator to the HVAC assembly, and then connect the actuator connector.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
  2. Position the RH upper HVAC duct on the HVAC assembly, install the screw that attaches the duct to the HVAC assembly, and then connect the duct connector.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
  3. Install the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the RH instrumental panel side cover assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel Side Cover - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the passenger footwell cover assembly. See Assembly - Cover - Footwell - Passenger's (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the RH center console closeout extension. See Closeout Extension - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the RH front floor mat.
  8. Install the RH side center console trim. See Trim - Center Console - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Move the front passenger seat to original position.
  10. Perform a cooling system thermal test. See Cooling System - Thermal Test.

  11. Raise the RH front window.
  12. Close the RH front door.
