Pipes - High/Low Pressure - Rocker (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 18207402

Removal

  1. Recover refrigerant from the vehicle (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the rocker panel carrier (refer to procedure).
  3. Remove the front and rear RH wheels (refer to procedure).
  4. Release the rear push clips (x7) that secure the front wheel arch liner to the vehicle.
  5. Remove the rear nut that secures the front wheel arch liner to the stud on the chassis (torque 6 Nm).
  6. Move the front wheel arch liner for access.
  7. Remove the nuts (x2) that secure the rocker high/low pressure pipes to the charge-port-to-rocker high/low pressure pipes (torque low pressure side 20 Nm, torque high pressure side 10.5 Nm).
  8. Release the forward push clips (x6) that secure the rear wheel arch liner to the vehicle.
  9. Remove the forward nuts (x2) that secure the rear wheel arch liner to the studs on the chassis (torque 6 Nm).
  10. Move the rear wheel arch liner for access to the rear portion of the rocker pipe.
  11. Remove the nuts (x2) that secure the rocker high/low pressure pipes to the rocker-to-rear-HVAC high/low pressure pipes (torque low pressure side 20 Nm, torque high pressure side 10.5 Nm).
  12. Remove the bolts (x3) that secure the rocker high/low pressure pipes brackets to the bottom of the rocker panel (torque 6 Nm).
  13. Carefully release the rear portion of the rocker high/low pressure pipes assembly and rotate it away from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Care must be taken to avoid damage to paintwork and exterior trim.
  14. Release the front portion of the rocker high/low pressure pipes assembly, slide the assembly forward, then rotate the assembly away from the vehicle.
  15. Remove the rocker high/low pressure pipes from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
