Cable - Flex Drive - Long - Front Seat Motor (Remove and Replace)

Removal
- Prepare a padded area to place the seat when it is removed from the vehicle.
- Remove the front seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install) and place it upside down onto the padded surface.
- Cut the cable tie that secures the front inner track cover, then remove the front inner track cover from the seat.
- Remove the rear inner track cover.
- Use a pick or similar tool to release the soft rear lower cover from the seat.
- Disconnect the harnesses from the seat memory module and puddle lamp.
- Release the fasteners that secure the tracks to the seat (torque 28 Nm).
- Remove the tracks and seat motor bracket together as an assembly.
- Release the fastener that secures the RH track to the motor bracket (torque 2.2 Nm).
- Remove the long flex drive cable from the motor.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
After installation is complete:
- Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.

Using Toolbox 3:
- Select the Actions tab and search for "Seat Install Mode".
- Select the ODIN routine PROC_BCREAR_X_SEAT-INSTALL-MODE-OFFvia Toolbox: (link), and then click the link of the routine.
- Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.

- Select the Actions tab and search for "Calibrate Memory Seat".

Select the ODIN routine PROC_MSMD_VCSEATD-FRONT-DRV_CALIBRATE-MEMORY-SEATvia Toolbox: (link), and then click the link of the routine.NoteThe below ODIN routine should be used for calibration of the driver seat. For calibrating the pasenger seat, use PROC_MSMP_VCSEATP-FRONT-PAS_CALIBRATE-MEMORY-SEATvia Toolbox: (link) instead.
- Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
