Cable - Flex Drive - Long - Front Seat Motor (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 13013102

Removal

  1. Prepare a padded area to place the seat when it is removed from the vehicle.
  2. Remove the front seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install) and place it upside down onto the padded surface.
  3. Cut the cable tie that secures the front inner track cover, then remove the front inner track cover from the seat.
  4. Remove the rear inner track cover.
  5. Use a pick or similar tool to release the soft rear lower cover from the seat.
  6. Disconnect the harnesses from the seat memory module and puddle lamp.
  7. Release the fasteners that secure the tracks to the seat (torque 28 Nm).
  8. Remove the tracks and seat motor bracket together as an assembly.
  9. Release the fastener that secures the RH track to the motor bracket (torque 2.2 Nm).
  10. Remove the long flex drive cable from the motor.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

After installation is complete:

  1. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  2. Unlock the vehicle gateway for diagnostic communication. See Gateway Unlock.
  3. Using Toolbox 3:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "Seat Install Mode".
    2. Select the ODIN routine PROC_BCREAR_X_SEAT-INSTALL-MODE-OFFvia Toolbox: (link), and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
  4. Using Toolbox 3:
    1. Select the Actions tab and search for "Calibrate Memory Seat".

      Note
      The below ODIN routine should be used for calibration of the driver seat. For calibrating the pasenger seat, use PROC_MSMP_VCSEATP-FRONT-PAS_CALIBRATE-MEMORY-SEATvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Low Voltage ➜ Seats ➜ Calibrate Passenger Seat instead.
      Select the ODIN routine PROC_MSMD_VCSEATD-FRONT-DRV_CALIBRATE-MEMORY-SEATvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Low Voltage ➜ Seats ➜ Calibrate Driver Seat, and then click the link of the routine.
    3. Click RUN, and allow the routine to complete.
