Sensor - Parking Distance - Outer - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Note
Outer parking distance sensors are S7, S8, S11, and S12. Inner parking distance
sensors are S9 and S10. See Sensor - Parking Distance - Inner - Rear (Remove and Replace).
Removal
- Open all four doors.
- Set the vehicle to Jack Mode. See Jack Mode Activation.
- Remove the clip that attaches the LH rear fender garnish to the mid aero shield.
- Release the clips (x7) and tabs (x7) that attach the LH rear fender garnish to the vehicle, and then remove the garnish from the vehicle.
- Remove the screw that attaches the LH side of the rear fascia to the quarter panel.
- Carefully release the tabs (x6) that attach the LH side of the rear fascia to the LH rear wing bracket.
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the parking distance sensor.

Release the parking distance sensor from the clips that attach the sensor to the
fascia.
NoteMake sure the sensor seal is also removed.
Installation

Position the parking distance
sensor on the vehicle, and then install the clips that attach the parking distance
sensor to the rear fascia.
NoteMake sure the sensor seal is flush with the exterior of the rear fascia.
- Connect the electrical harness to the parking distance sensor, and then enage the locking tab.
- Carefully move the LH side of the rear fascia back into position and install the tabs (x6) that attach the fascia to the LH rear wing bracket.
- Install the screw that attaches the LH side of the rear fascia to the quarter panel (torque 1.5 Nm).
- Position the LH rear fender garnish on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x7) and tabs (x7) that attach the fender garnish to the vehicle.
- Install the clip that attaches the LH rear fender garnish to the mid aero shield.
- Disable Jack mode. See Jack Mode Activation.
- Close all four doors.
