Module - Park Assist (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
Remove the LH rear trunk side trim (refer to procedure).
Gain access to the HVAC foam duct:
- Vehicles built through October 18, 2016: Remove the parcel shelf support (refer to procedure).
- Vehicles built after October 18, 2016, Remove the C-pillar mid zone bracket (refer to procedure).
Remove the foam HVAC duct.

Note
The park assist module is located behind the charger.
Disconnect the electrical harness connectors from the park assist module.

CAUTION
Mark the harnesses so that they are reinstalled properly.
Release the barrel clip that secures the harness to the forward stud that supports the park assist module.
Remove and discard the nuts that secure the park assist module to the studs on the body (torque 3.5 Nm).
Remove the park assist module from the vehicle.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

CAUTION

Replace all patchbolt(s).

Use Toolbox to update or redeploy the firmware:

If the vehicle is not running the latest firmware, run the "Vehicle Firmware Update" procedure.
If the vehicle is running the latest firmware, run the "Firmware Redeploy" procedure.
