Wiper Module (LHD) (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the cowl screen panel (refer to procedure).
  3. Pull the HVAC duct forward to remove it from the vehicle.
  4. Release the front bolts (x2) that secure the fuse box bracket to the body (torque 7 Nm).
  5. Release the rear bolt that secures the fuse box bracket to the body (torque 5 Nm).
  6. Unclip the fusebox harness from the rear of the fuse box.
  7. Unclip the fusebox harness from the 12V battery tiedown.
  8. Gently pull the fusebox forward.
  9. Release the bolts that secure the wiper module to the body (torque 9 Nm), but do not remove the module at this time.
  10. Gently pull the wiper module forward and disconnect the low voltage harness.

    CAUTION
    Do not damage the fusebox.
  11. Remove the wiper module from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
