Lamp and Camera Assembly - Side Repeater - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal
Warning
Whenever a camera has been
moved out of its original position (for example, a camera or windshield
replacement), camera calibration data must be cleared using the vehicle
touchscreen: Controls >
Service > Camera
Calibration > Clear
Calibration.
- If equipped with air suspension, set the vehicle to High or Very High, and then place the vehicle in Jack Mode.
- Press the brake pedal to turn on the drive rails.
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the left.
- Apply protective tape to the fender around the LH front side repeater lamp and camera assembly.
- Release the lowest outer clip from the rear of the LH wheel arch liner.
- Move the rear edge of the wheel arch liner and any NVH padding to access the side repeater light from inside the fender.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the back side of the LH front side repeater lamp and camera assembly.

Release the tabs (x2) on the
front and bottom-facing edges of the LH front side repeater lamp and camera
assembly, and then carefully pry the repeater away from the fender.
CAUTIONIf reinstalling the same side repeater, take care not to damage the mounting tabs.CAUTIONCare must be taken to avoid damage to paintwork and exterior trim.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
CAUTION
If reinstalling the same side repeater, make sure the mounting tabs
are not damaged. If any of the tabs are damaged, replace the repeater.

After the LH front side repeater
lamp and camera assembly has been connected and installed on the vehicle, verify
camera operation:
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock.
- Exit the vehicle and make sure the vehicle remains unoccupied while performing the following steps.
- Click .
- Click .
- Review the images and make sure that the LH and RH cameras are properly recording.
- Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Disable Jack Mode, and then set the vehicle to Standard ride height.

Inform the customer that manual
driving is required to allow the camera to self-calibrate.
NoteSelf-calibration can take up to 100 miles (160 km) of manual driving, depending upon the road type and condition. Until self-calibration is complete, the message "Autopilot Features Currently Unavailable: Manual Driving Required While Camera Is Calibrating" is displayed if an attempt is made to engage an Autopilot feature.
