Air Line - Air Suspension - Valve Block to LH Front Air Spring (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 31104002

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).
  2. Depressure the air suspension system (refer to procedure).
  3. In the front left wheel well, remove the front portion of the lower wheel arch liner (refer to procedure).
  4. Release the fitting from the front left air spring (torque 5 Nm).

    CAUTION
    Plug the line connection to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.
  5. Release the air line clips (x2) on the wheel well.
  6. Remove the front aero shield (refer to procedure).
  7. Release the air line clips (x2) on the front trunk area.
  8. Release the fitting from the valve block (torque 3.5 Nm).

    Plug the line connection to prevent ingress of moisture or dirt.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Perform the following steps to resecure air suspension lines:
  1. Remove the collet and fitting from the air suspension line. Discard the collet and fitting.

  2. Secure a new VOSS fitting onto the component. Remove any plastic plugs from the new fitting.
  3. Insert the air suspension line as far as possible into the fitting.
  4. Gently pull on the air suspension line to make sure the line is fully secured to the compressor.
