Pipe - High/Low Pressure - Charge Port (Dual Motor) (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 18204702
- 2025-01-28: Added note on separately adding correction code 18200102 and updated procedure to latest validation.
Warning
If the 12V power
supply is disconnected, do not attempt to open any doors with door glass in
closed position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass
shatter.
Note
Before
disconnecting the 12V power supply, ensure that the driver’s door window is
fully open. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle
lockout.
Note
This procedure requires the A/C
Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge) procedure to be performed. If not already
automatically added to the Service Visit, add correction code 18200102 as a
separate activity to the Service Visit.
Removal
- Recover the refrigerant from the vehicle. See A/C Refrigerant Recovery and Recharge (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the front HVAC filter housing (torque 1.5 Nm), and then remove the HVAC filter housing.
- Disconnect 12V Power. See Disconnect 12V Power.
- Remove the 12V battery bracket. Bracket - 12V Battery (Dual Motor) (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the 12V battery bracket beam. See 12V Battery Bracket Beam (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH shock tower brace. See Shock Tower Brace - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the 12V battery bracket beam. See 12V Battery Bracket Beam (Remove and Replace).
- Release the coolant reservoir and move it out of the way for access. See Reservoir Assembly - Coolant (Dual Motor) (Remove and Replace).
-
Set the A/C compressor aside for access. See Compressor (Remove and Replace).
WarningDo not disconnect the High Voltage connector from the compressor.
-
If the vehicle is equipped with air suspension, release the bolts (x2) that
secure the air reservoir (torque 2.5 Nm). Carefully set the reservoir in the
RH side of the underhood area.
NoteIt is not necessary to disconnect the air lines.
-
Release the bolts (x2) that
attach the high and low pressure pipes to the TXV at the bulkhead (torque 6
Nm).
NoteThe TXV and pipes must be removed at the same time.
- Disconnect the TXV connector and release the clip that secures it.
- Release the clip that attaches the air suspension line to the high pressure pipe.
-
Release the bolts (x2) that
attach the A/C line below RH side of the battery beam (torque 8 Nm).
NoteRemove and discard the O-rings.
-
Remove the charge Port A/C
line from the vehicle.
NoteRotate the lower part of the A/C lines towards the center of the vehicle and carefully pull the A/C lines out between the cross member and the bulkhead. Pay attention not to damage any wiring or coolant hoses.
Installation
Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
CAUTION
Lubricate new O-rings with clean
refrigerant oil.
- Verify that the A/C system functions properly.
