Open all four doors

Lower all four windows
-
Fully open sunroof using UI
-
Remove bolts securing sliding glass to vehicle
Note4x bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Discard patch bolts

Remove sliding glass from vehicle

Remove RH floor mat
Note4x velcro pads
-
Remove RH IP side cover
Note4x clips, 1x connector
-
Remove RH middle A-pillar trim
-
Remove RH instrument panel lower assembly
Note13x clips
-
Remove glove box lower trim
Note6x clips
-
Remove glove box from IP carrier
Note6x screws, T20, 2.3 Nm, 3x connectors
-
Release RH front console side panel clips
-
Remove RH console closeout extension
Note8x clips, 1x adhesive pad
-
Remove RH footwell cover
Note2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x connector, Remove manual hood cable from handle to release footwell cover

Remove RH lower A-pillar trim
Note4x clips, The number of clips securing the trim varies depending on vehicle production date, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to re-installing sill trim

Apply masking tape onto roof rail
NoteApply masking tape onto roof rail to prevent paint damage from working on vehicle roof

Remove RH side applique roof rack doors
Note2x roof rack doors, Careful not to break roof rack doors upon removal

Remove RH side applique
NoteUsing Hydroblade tool and glass cleaner for lubrication cut through urethane to free 1.0 side applique, Ensure to clear the seals and cut through the urethane, Careful not to damage the paint on the roof rail as you cut

Remove bolts securing RH roof motor
Note3x patch bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Discard after removal

Separate RH roof motor from motor block
-
Disconnect RH sunroof motor connector
-
Remove right rear cam block
Note2x screws. T25, 5 Nm
-
Slide pano roof rear right link forward to cam block opening
NoteUse a long bit to help move link
-
Lift up rear right link and remove guide shoe
-
Slide pano roof rear right link back past frame channel
-
Remove RH rear stop screw
Note1x screw, T20, 6.5 Nm
-
Remove RH rear link
NotePull link rearward, You may need to use a bigger hook and pull more aggressively
-
Remove RH panoramic roof drive cable
NoteCable my get stuck where stop screw was installed, Apply good amount of force to remove
-
Remove old urethane from body
NoteEnsure residual urethane is 1 mm or less in thickness
-
Vacuum debris from body and headliner
NoteClean up roof area of vehicle to prepare for installation of new rear fixed glass
-
Install RH panoramic roof drive cable
NoteLeave enough slack to install link
-
Insert the rear right link into the drive cable
NoteBoth rear link and drive cable should fix like a puzzle, Careful not to damage fixed glass or side rail
-
Gently tap the rear right link to move assembly into frame channels
-
Slide pano roof rear right link forward to cam block opening
NoteUse a long bit to help move link
-
Lift up rear right link and install guide shoe
-
Slide pano roof rear right link back towards rear opening
NoteDon't slide link past rear stop screw
-
Install right rear cam block
Note2x screws, T25, 5 Nm
-
Install RH rear stop screw
Note1x screw, T20, 6.5 Nm
-
Slide pano roof front right link back
NoteLine up paint marks at link and pano frame
-
Install RH sunroof motor connector
-
Position RH roof motor onto motor block
-
Install bolts securing RH roof motor onto motor block
Note3x patch bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Install new patch bolts
-
Install RH footwell cover
Note2x screws, T20, 2 Nm, 1x connector
-
Install RH center console closeout extension
Note12x clips
-
Secure RH front console side panel clips
-
Install glove box into vehicle
Note3x connectors, 6x screws, T20, 2.3 Nm
-
Install lower glove box trim panel
Note6x clips, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to installation
-
Install RH instrument panel lower assembly
Note13x clips

Install RH lower A-pillar trim
Note4x clips, The number of clips securing the a pillar sill trim varies depending on vehicle production date, Replace any damaged or missing clips prior to re-installing sill trim

Install RH front floor mat
Note4x velcro pads

Move panoramic front links into original position
Note2x links

Place sliding glass into position on vehicle

Install bolts securing sliding glass to vehicle
Note4x bolts, T25, 5 Nm, Install new patch bolts

Connect laptop to vehicle with a tethered Ethernet connection via Toolbox 3
Note1x connector, 2x clips, Newer models will access connector below MCU with cubby removed, Older models will access port at LH side of IP with end cap removedOpen Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to vehicle: https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner and select Connect Locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected), Local connection will enable service mode plus on display

Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘Calibrate Sunroof’

Select ‘Calibrate sunroof’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete
NoteRoof will fully close, then fully open

Select "Calibrate" to perform panoramic roof calibration
NoteRoof will fully close, then fully open

Fully close sunroof using UI
-
Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and install cubby under MCU
Note1x connector, 2x clips, Ensure diagnostic cables are tucked into appropriate position then engage cubby

Partially open panoramic sunroof
NoteChoose vent option on UI to slightly open panoramic sunroof
-
Install clips onto both side roof appliques
NoteApply a small amount of grease in area where clip is going to be installed
-
Set applique into place and mark with tape
NotePlace tape marks on roof rail aligned with clips
-
Apply primer to frame and applique clips
-
Apply small amounts of urethane to back of clips
-
Install 2nd gen side roof appliques
NoteAllow urethane to setTape front edges down into installation position.

Remove masking tape from roof rails
-
Operate sliding glass and verify that glass does not shudder while opening or closing
-
Raise all four windows
-
Close all four doors
