  1. Open LH front door
  2. Open hood

  3. Remove RH underhood apron

  4. Remove rear underhood apron

  5. Release cabin filter cover and RH side of cowl screen panel

  6. Remove bolts securing front HVAC filter housing

    2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm
  7. Remove front HVAC filter housing

  8. Remove rear HVAC filter housing and rubber HVAC intake drain diverter

  9. Power off vehicle via UI

  10. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal

  11. Disconnect first responder loop

  12. Remove battery fuse box cover

  13. Disconnect 12V positive battery terminal from battery fuse box

    1x nut, 13mm, 10 Nm, Do not mix up nut
  14. Cut off nut securing DCDC positive terminal to battery fuse box

    If nut is not cross-threaded then skip this step, Cover fuse box with shop towel to protect from debris, Vacuum debris as needed, Make sure to wear proper PPE for cutting, Do not breathe in fumes
  15. Disconnect DCDC positive terminal from 12V battery fuse box

  16. Release battery fuse box from the 12V battery strap

    1x nut, 8mm, 5 Nm, discard nyloc nut
  17. Disconnect SRS pyrotechnic connector

    1x connector, Press 2x lock tabs then gently remove connector
  18. Remove front harness upper wire terminals from 12V battery fuse box

    7x nuts, 8mm, 5 Nm, Note orientation of terminals, Nuts can be threaded back on to prevent studs from falling out
  19. Remove 12V battery fuse box wire separator cover

  20. Remove front harness lower wire terminals from 12V battery fuse box

    5x nuts, 8mm, 5 Nm, Note orientation of terminals, Nuts can be threaded back on to prevent studs from falling out
  21. Remove 12V battery fuse box
  22. Remove vendor label from 12V battery fuse box
  23. Remove original nut and bolt
  24. Position aluminum insert onto 12V battery fuse box

    Insert is substituting previously removed nut and stud
  25. Adhere vendor label onto 12V battery fuse box

    Allow 1 minute dry time, Clean area around insert then apply double sided tape. Another alternative can be couple layers of insulation tape (vinyl tape)
  26. Secure 12V battery fuse box studs

    12x studs, Apply masking tape
  27. Position 12V battery fuse box
  28. Torque nuts securing front harness lower wire terminals to 12V battery fuse box

    5x nuts, 8mm, 5 Nm, Use new nyloc nuts if available
  29. Torque nuts securing front harness lower wire terminals to 12V battery fuse box

  30. Install 12V battery fuse box wire separator cover

  32. Torque nuts securing front harness upper wire terminals to 12V battery fuse box

  33. Connect SRS pyrotechnic connector

  34. Install nut securing 12V battery fuse box to strap

    1x nut, 8mm, 5 Nm, Use new nyloc nut if available, Adjust fuse box as needed
  35. Remove masking tape from 12V battery fuse box studs

  36. Connect DCDC positive terminal onto 12V battery fuse box

    1x bolt, 13mm, 12 Nm, Apply med-strength thread locker to bolt
  37. Connect 12V positive battery terminal to battery fuse box

  38. Install battery fuse box cover
