Stabilizer Bar - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Removal
- Remove rear sub-frame assembly (refer to procedure)

Remove nuts (x2) securing stabilizer bar to drop links (torque 70 Nm).
CAUTIONTo prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
- Remove bolts (x2) securing brackets to rear subframe (torque 70 Nm).

Release and remove brackets.
- Remove stabilizer bar.
Installation
CAUTION
Replace all patchbolt(s).
CAUTION
Replace all nylon-insert
locknuts.

Install the stabilizer bar to the subframe and install the brackets.
- Install the bolts (x2) that attach the brackets to rear subframe (torque 70 Nm).

Install the nuts (x2) that attach the stabilizer bar to the drop links (torque
70 Nm).
CAUTIONTo prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
- Install the rear sub-frame assembly (refer to procedure).
- Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
