Panel - Aero Shield - Mid (Remove and Replace)

Choose the appropriate procedure based on the vehicle's configuration and date of manufacture:

1st Generation

Removal

  1. Remove the LH diffuser tray rails (refer to procedure).
  2. Repeat step 1 for the RH diffuser tray rails.
  3. Remove the bolts (x9) that secure the mid aero shield panel to the body (torque 4 Nm).
  4. Remove the mid aero shield panel.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.

2nd Generation

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle (refer to procedure).

    Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
  2. Remove the subframe shear plates by removing the nut (torque 35 Nm), clips (x2), and screws (x3) (torque 6 Nm) that secure each shear plate to the subframe.
  3. Release the clips (x7) that secure the mid aero shield to the vehicle.
  4. Release the bolts (x7) that attach the mid aeroshield to the vehicle (torque 4 Nm). Remove the mid aeroshield from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
