  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Move LH front seat backward and seat cushion fully upward
  4. Open hood

  5. Remove rear underhood apron

  6. Remove RH underhood apron

  8. Release drainage hoses from HEPA filter inlet duct

  9. Remove clips securing HEPA filter inlet duct to cowl panel

  11. Remove HEPA filter outlet duct from vehicle

    Lift up, pull towards front of vehicle, then rotate clockwise
  12. Power down vehicle using MCU

    Controls > E-brake & Power Off > Power off
  13. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and First Responder Loop

    1x nut, 10mm, 5 Nm, 1x connector, Wait at least 2 minutes before disconnecting modules or HV components
  14. Disconnect controller connectors underneath LH front seat

  15. Remove LH front seat controller

  16. Install LH front seat controller

  17. Install connectors to LH front seat controller

  18. Connect First Responder Loop and 12V negative terminal

  19. Install HEPA filter outlet duct

  22. Secure drainage hoses to HEPA filter inlet duct

  23. Install LH underhood apron

  27. Move LH front seat to original position
  28. Using Laptop connect to vehicle with a tethered Ethernet connection via Toolbox 3.0

    1x connector, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle. Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select Connect Locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
  29. Select "Actions/Autodiag" and search for "Service_Redeploy"
  30. Select UPDATE_CAN-REDEPLOYSearch for routine in ToolboxService CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE1L Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE1R Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Drive Inverter DIRE2 Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Front Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Left Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Right Drive Inverter Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Front Drive Unit Replacement - CAN Redeployhv / Rear Drive Unit Replacement - CAN Redeploy, click "Run", and allow routine to complete

    Select "X" at top right of window to close once complete
  31. Select proper garage type for vehicle

  32. Close redeploy window

    Select X at top right corner of window
  33. Select the clock on the center display, then select install now to start firmware update

    Tap center display next to software update window until clock runs down to 0. After displayed installation time, Check the center display and ensure the firmware package was successfully installed
  34. Place vehicle in service mode with touchscreen

    Hold Tesla "T" icon at top of center display for four seconds and then type "service" into dialog box
  35. Precondition vehicle to 68F

    Must be preconditioned for 10 minutes before calibration is performed
  36. Set driver seat heater to level 1

    driver seat must have seat heater turned on to level 1 before any calibration is performed
  37. To run routine successfully, apply foot to brake pedal and hold right turn signal indicator for 10 plus seconds

    This step is required even when using a tethered Ethernet connection. Routine can be run after the 10 seconds expire, Key fob must be present in vehicle
  38. Type TEST-SELF_VCSEATD_FRONT_SEATSearch for routine in ToolboxFront Driver Seat Test in the search field and then Run

    Make sure "Actions" is selected if not already, Ensure nothing is sitting on the driver seat
  39. Type PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATESearch for routine in ToolboxVCSEAT Driver Seat Calibration in the search field and then Run

    Make sure "Actions" is selected if not already, Ensure nothing is sitting on the driver seat
  40. Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and install cubby under the MCU

  41. Exit Service Mode
