Module - Door Handle Controller - Rear - LH - Generation 3.0 (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Remove the door trim panel (refer to procedure).
Remove one side of the felt tape then remove the old clips (x8) from LH rear door panel.
Release the screw (x1) that attaches the top of the door handle controller module to the closeout panel (torque 2 Nm).
Remove the door handle controller module from the retainer tabs on the closeout panel, and then disconnect the door handle controller module wiring harness.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal except for the following:

Install new clips (x8) to the LH rear door panel.
Perform the door handle 3.0 calibration procedure. See Handle - Exterior Release - Door (Recalibrate).
Perform a firmware reinstall. See Firmware Reinstall - Touchscreen.
Verify the operation of all door handles.
