Hose - Coupler to Battery Pump 2 (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the HV battery. See HV Battery (RWD/AWD) (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  3. Put a coolant drain container underneath the front of the vehicle to catch any coolant during the next step.
  4. Release the clip that attaches the coolant hose to the body stud.
  5. Release the hose clamp that attaches the coupler-to-battery pump 2 hose using the flexible spring bank clamp pliers, and then plug the hose using a plug from the coolant hose plug kit.
  6. Remove the coolant drain container from underneath the vehicle.
  7. Lower the vehicle to access the hood area.
  8. Place a coolant catcher underneath the vehicle to catch any coolant that may spill during the next steps.
  9. Remove the bolt that attaches the battery pump 2 bracket to the body.
  10. Release the hose clamp that attaches the coupler-to-battery pump 2 using coolant hose clamps and flexible spring band clamp pliers, and then plug the battery pump 2 using a plug from the coolant hose plug kit.
  11. Remove the coupler-to-battery pump 2 hose from the vehicle.

Installation

  1. Place the hose into position for installation.
  2. Remove the coolant plug from the battery pump 2, and then attach the hose to the pump. Secure the hose with the clamp.
  3. Install the bolt that attaches the battery coolant pump 2 bracket to the body (torque 6 Nm).
  4. Remove the coolant catcher from underneath the vehicle. Clean up any spilled coolant.
  5. Raise the vehicle fully. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  6. Remove the coolant plug from the chiller hose, and then install the coupler to the battery pump 2 coolant hose. Secure the hose with the hose clamp.
  7. Install the coolant hose retaining clip to the body stud.
  8. Install the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the HV battery. See HV Battery (RWD/AWD) (Remove and Install).
  10. Perform a coolant system refill. See Cooling System - Partial Refill and Bleed.
