Integral Link - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle.

Removal

  1. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the nut and bolt that attach the integral link to the knuckle.
  3. Remove the nut and bolt that attach the integral link to the lower control arm.
  4. Remove the integral link from the vehicle.

Installation

  1. Install the integral link to the vehicle.
  2. First install the bolt and nut that attach the integral link to the knuckle (torque at a later step) and then install the bolt and nut that attach the integral link to the lower control arm (torque at a later step).
  3. Install a hub jack adapter onto the LH rear hub, and then raise the jack to simulate the LH rear suspension at ride height.
  4. Measure the distance from the upper fore link to the bolt on the frame rail to make sure LH suspension is set to ride height.

    Distance should be 85mm +/- 5 mm.
  5. Torque the LH integral link fasteners to 130 Nm.
  6. Remove the existing paint mark from the LH integral link fasteners, and then mark the integral link fasteners with a paint pen.

    Clean the area thoroughly so the new marking is not confused with the previous marking.
  7. Install the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
