Strut - Liftgate (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 11334402

Removal

  1. Open liftgate.
  2. Support liftgate in open position.
  3. Release clip securing gas strut to body.
  4. Disconnect gas strut from ball joint.
  5. Release clip securing gas strut to liftgate.
  6. Disconnect and remove gas strut.

Installation

  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following.

    Clean the affected areas before installation.

    Apply the recommended grease to bearing/bushing surfaces.
  2. Lubricate both pivot points.
