Sensor Cluster - ESC (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the center console assembly. See Center Console Assembly (Remove and Replace) .
  2. Disconnect the electrical harness from the ESC sensor cluster connector.
  3. Carefully cut the acoustic padding covering the ESC sensor cluster.
  4. Peel back the acoustic padding to expose the ESC sensor cluster.
  5. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the ESC sensor cluster to the body.
  6. Remove the ESC sensor cluster from the vehicle.

Installation

  1. Install the ESC sensor cluster to the body.
  2. Install the nuts (x2) that attach the ESC sensor cluster to the body (torque 6 Nm).
  3. Position the acoustic padding back over the ESC sensor cluster, and then secure the edges of the padding with tape.
  4. Connect the electrical harness to the ESC sensor cluster connector.
  5. Install the center console assembly. See Center Console Assembly (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  7. Update the vehicle firmware. See Firmware Update.
  8. In Toolbox 3, click the Actions tab, type "ESP-CONFIG" into the search field, click PROC_ESP_X_ESP-CONFIGvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode Plus: Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ ESP Config, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  9. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
