Fusebox - Underhood - 2nd Generation (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 17012402
- 2024-09-11: Added reference to rework of fuse box, if needed.
Removal
- Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
- Remove the fuse box cover.

Remove and discard the fastener that secures the 12V Battery cable (torque
15 Nm).
CAUTIONReplace all nylon-insert locknuts.
- Release the clip that secures the 12V Battery cable to the A/C line.

Remove and discard the fastener that secures the DCDC converter cable
(torque 15 Nm).
CAUTIONReplace all nylon-insert locknuts.
- Gently pry up on the locking tab to disconnect the pyrotechnic fuse connector.

Remove and discard the fasteners that secure the fuse box (torque 6 Nm) to
the body. Slide the fuse box toward the RH side of the vehicle, but do not
remove it from the vehicle at this time.
CAUTIONReplace all nylon-insert locknuts.
- On the rear of the fuse box, remove and discard the fasteners that secure the power steering and cabin fuse box cables (torque 6 Nm).
- Release the connectors on the base of the fuse box.
- Remove the fuse box from the vehicle.
Installation
Note
Certain versions of fuse box part number 1034405 or 1094405 have the middle
connector (X562) at the underside of the fuse box
reversed/mirrored compared to the original fuse box middle connector (see
image). If this is the case, the replacement fusebox must be reworked. See Fuse Box - Underhood - 2nd Generation (Rework) for additional
instructions and separately add Correction Code 17012407 to the Service
Visit.
CAUTION
Replace all patched
nuts.
