Module - Autopilot - ECU - 2nd and 3rd Generation (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Open both front doors and lower both front windows.
  2. Remove the glove box. See Glove Box (Remove and Replace).
  3. Power down the vehicle from the touchscreen.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the Autopilot ECU.
  5. Remove and discard the nuts that secure the Autopilot ECU to the cross car beam.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
  6. Remove the Autopilot ECU from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:
  • Install new nuts (x4) that attach the car computer to the cross car beam.
  • Deploy the most recent firmware to the replacement Autopilot ECU. See Firmware Reinstall - Touchscreen and follow all steps for a DAS redeploy.

Disposal

  1. Make sure to properly dispose of the old Autopilot ECU. Follow the instructions in Module - Autopilot - ECU (Dispose) and add correction code 17155007 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
