  1. Open both doors on LH side

  12. Move LH front seat forward
  13. Remove LH front seat rear fasteners

  14. Adjust position of LH front seat for easy removal

  15. Power down vehicle using MCU

  16. Disconnect 12V negative terminal and First Responder Loop

  17. Disconnect LH front seat harness

  19. Remove screw securing outer side cover from seat

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm, Ensure the front of the seat is high enough to access the T20 screw
  20. Release outer side cover clip from seat, but do not remove

  21. Disconnect seat switch connector

  22. Slide outer cover rearward to release clip from frame and lift up

  23. Release inboard side shield clip from seat, but do not fully remove

  24. Route seat belt buckle out of inboard side shield
  25. Remove inboard side shield

  26. Place the front seat in a position to gain access to the bottom of the seat

  27. Release toe kick straps from both sides of interior seat base

  28. Release toe kick j-hooks from seat mat spring

  29. Disconnect the seat heater connector

  30. If equipped, disconnect the seat track position sensor.

  31. If equipped, remove the screw that attaches the seat track position sensor to the seat track assembly, and then remove the sensor from the seat track assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  32. Remove the seat back harness connector from the seat bottom

  33. Remove zip tie securing harnesses to spring mat
  34. Return seat to upright position
  35. Remove the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the seat cushion frame

    2x patch bolts, T50, 43 Nm, Discard after removal
  36. Remove the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame

  37. Remove the seat back frame from the cushion frame

    Rotate the frame away from the cushion frame and lift the seat frame straight up
  38. Turn the seat bottom over for access

  42. Return seat to upright position

    Lift up at the front of the seat cushion and pull up to remove seat cushion from seat bottom frame, Ensure harness connectors do not catch on seat bottom frame when removing
  49. Install seat cushion to seat bottom frame

    Insert the rear of the seat cushion to seat bottom frame and then lower the rest on the seat cushion to the seat bottom frame, Ensure wiring harness are routed through the back of seat frame
  50. Install outboard seat cushion soft trim to seat cushion frame

    1x J-clip, Fold the clip over towards the frame, The open end should engage the seat frame, if not the trim will need to be pulled until the correct amount of tension is achieved, Line up one end of the clip strip opening with the seat frame and press down until the clip is fully seated onto the frame
  51. Install inboard seat cushion soft trim to seat cushion frame

  53. Install seat belt buckle to the new seat track assembly

  54. Connect the seat belt buckle

  62. Install the outboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame

  63. Install the inboard fasteners securing the seat back frame to the cushion frame

  64. Place the front seat in a position to gain access to the bottom of the seat

  65. If equipped, position the seat track position sensor on the new seat track assembly, and then install the screw that attaches the sensor to the seat track assembly.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  66. If equipped, connect the seat track position sensor.

  67. Install the seat back harness connector to the seat bottom

  68. Connect the seat heater harness and secure to spring mat clip

  69. Route LH sensor harnesses underneath toe kick strap
  70. Zip-tie both LH seat back heater and sensor harnesses onto spring mat

  71. Secure the toe kick straps from both sides of the interior seat base

  72. Return seat to upright position
  73. Position inboard side shield to the LH front seat and slide forward to secure rear tab

    Note
    Apply light pressure to the rear of the inboard side shield to fully seat onto the seat frame, A fully installed trim should not show any metal from the frame and should line up with the contour of the seat back
  74. Route seat belt buckle into inboard side shield
  75. Install inboard side shield clip from seat

  76. Position outer side cover to the LH front seat and slide forward to secure rear tab

    Apply light pressure to the rear of the outer trim to fully seat onto the seat frame, A fully installed trim should not show any metal from the frame and should line up with the contour of the seat back
  77. Install seat switch connector

  78. Secure outer side cover clip into LH front seat

    1x clip, Apply pressure to the outer seat trim to fully seat the trim clip, the trim should sit flush against the seat cushion
  79. Install screw securing outer side cover to LH front seat

    1x screw, T20, 4 Nm
  80. Install LH front seat into vehicle

    Recommend Assistance, Take care not to damage surrounding components while lifting the seat into the vehicle
  81. Connect LH front seat harness

  82. Connect First Responder Loop and 12V negative terminal

  83. Move LH front seat forward
  84. Install LH front seat rear fasteners

  87. Move LH front seat to original position
  88. Place vehicle in service mode with touchscreen
  89. Using Laptop connect to vehicle with a tethered Ethernet connection via Toolbox 3.0
  90. To run routine successfully, apply foot to brake pedal and hold right turn signal indicator for 10 plus seconds

    This step is required even when using a tethered Ethernet connection, Refer to Toolbox Article 99100 for details, Routine can be run after the 10 seconds expires, Key fob must be present in vehicle
  91. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Calibration’
  92. Select ‘PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATEvia Toolbox: (link)’, and allow routine to complete

  93. Disconnect Toolbox from vehicle and install cubby under the MCU
