Nitrogen Fill Kit Attachment

  1. Turn the Nitrogen cylinder main valve fully clockwise to closed.
  2. Turn the red knob on the regulator fully clockwise to closed.
  3. Attach the Schrader valve coupler quick-disconnect adapter to the Nitrogen cylinder quick-disconnect. There are two types of adapters:
    • Portable Nitrogen fill kit uses an adapter with a T-handle coupler, a hose, a pressure gauge, and a red knob.
    • Shop Nitrogen fill kit uses an adapter with a short valve body and a black handle.

  4. Prepare the Schrader valve coupler:
    • T-handle coupler: Turn the red valve fully clockwise to close. Turn the T-handle fully counter-clockwise.
    • Black-handle coupler: Turn the black handle perpendicular to the valve body to close.
  5. Open the main valve on the Nitrogen cylinder by one turn counter-clockwise.
  6. Make sure that the cylinder pressure gauge displays 500 to 1500 psi.
    • If the cylinder pressure is too low: Refill the cylinder or use a different cylinder.
    • If the cylinder pressure is too high: Report this situation to your shop safety manager immediately.
  7. For models with Conti Air Suspension, continue to the next step. For models with Tesla Air Suspension, go to step 19.
  8. Slowly turn the red knob of the regulator counter-clockwise until the line pressure gauge displays 19-21 bar (275-305 psi).
  9. Connect the Nitrogen Schrader valve coupler quick-disconnect adapter to the reservoir fill valve.
  10. Turn the black handle on the short valve body to the open position.
