Sensor - Occupant Classification - Front Passenger’s Seat - Calibration

Note
Any service performed on a seat
assembly with an occupancy sensor must be followed by a calibration procedure.
Note
In the event of an airbag or seat belt tensioner deployment, certain airbag and seat belt components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to SRS Inspection and Component Replacement for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.
Procedure

Set the vehicle climate control to 68 degrees F (20 degrees C).
NoteThe cabin temperature must be approximately 68 degrees F (20 degrees C) to properly calibrate the sensor.
- Set the RH 1st row seat heater to level 1.
- Check that the vehicle firmware is at least 2019.40.50 or later. If it is not perform a firmware update. See Firmware Update.
- Enable service mode. See Service Mode.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway Unlock.
- Make sure that the key fob is in the vehcle and that nothing is sitting on the RH 1st row seat.
- Depress the brake pedal and hold up on the signal stalk together for 10 seconds.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, type "OCS-CALIBRATE" in the search field, click on PROC_VCSEATP_FRONT-PASS_OCS-CALIBRATEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Low Voltage ➜ Seats ➜ Calibrate OCS, and then click Run.

Allow 2 minutes for the calibration rountine to complete.
CAUTIONMake sure that there is nothing on the RH 1st row seat.
- Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Verify that the text "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" is displayed in the upper right corner of the touchscreen.
- Disable service mode. See Service Mode.
- Return the seat heater and climiate control to their previous settings.
