Window Motor/Regulator Assembly - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 11502002

Removal

  1. Remove the window glass from the door (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the bolts that secure the door control unit to the door access plate (torque 1 Nm).
  3. Tie the door control unit aside.
  4. Remove the screws that secure the door access plate to the door (torque 4 Nm).
  5. Remove the door access plate.

    Note
    In the following steps, remove any plugs or waterproof tape that covers any of the nuts.
  6. Remove the nuts that secure the regulator to the upper part of the door (torque 10 Nm).
  7. Remove the nuts that secure the regulator to the door lower adjustable mounting (torque 10 Nm).
  8. Remove the screws that secure the regulator motor to the door (torque 2.4 Nm).
  9. Carefully collapse the regulator.
  10. Partially remove the regulator through the door opening.
    The motor harness connector becomes accessible as the regulator is removed.
  11. Disconnect the motor harness connector from the regulator.
  12. Remove the regulator assembly from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Always replace plugs or tape removed from the front door shells when servicing or inspecting the door or its components. Additional holes in the door creates more escape paths for air, which decreases the front door pressure sensor's ability detect a side impact, and can negatively affect airbag deployment.

Note
Close the door latch with a small screwdriver before testing the new window regulator. The door latch must be closed in order for the new window regulator to function.
  • Reinstall any plugs and replace any waterproof tape that covered any of the nuts.
  • Set the regulator to any witness marks from the previous installation.
  • Align the glass to the seals (refer to procedure).
