Gas Strut - Hood - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction Code 11330502

Removal

  1. Open hood.
  2. Support hood in open position.
  3. Release clip securing gas strut to body.
  4. Disconnect gas strut from ball joint.
  5. Release clip securing gas strut to hood.
  6. Disconnect gas strut and remove from hood.

Installation

  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following.

    Clean the affected areas before installation.

    Apply the recommended grease to bearing/bushing surfaces.
  2. Lubricate both pivot points.
