Main Seal - Panoramic Roof - 1st Generation (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the sliding roof glass (refer to procedure).
  2. Release the rear ends of the main seal from beneath the stop bumper seal.
  3. Carefully release the sealant bond from the body.
  4. Remove the main seal.

Installation

  1. Use an alcohol wipe to fully clean all residual adhesive from the body. Allow the body to fully dry before continuing.
  2. Apply 3M Primer 94 to the body.
  3. Apply 3M 4298UV adhesion promoter to the main seal adhesive.
  4. Install the seal onto the frame; firmly press down on the seal to ensure that is it secure.
