Prior to disconnection of 12 volt power supply, ensure driver’s door glass is in the fully open position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in vehicle lockout.

If 12 volt power supply is disconnected, do not attempt to open any doors with door glass in closed position. Failure to follow this instruction could result in door glass shatter.

Note
In the event of an airbag or seat belt tensioner deployment, certain airbag and seat belt components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to SRS Inspection and Component Replacement for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.

Removal

  1. Raise 3rd row seats if folded into trunk well.
  2. Position seat belt aside for access to the bolt.
  3. Remove bolt securing 3rd row seat belt buckle to body (torque 40 Nm).

    CAUTION
    Replace all patchbolt(s).
  4. De- Latch buckle from seat belt and remove buckle from vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
