  1. Place the LH and RH spoiler alignment jigs on the liftgate.
Tip: Consider securing the alignment jigs to the liftgate with masking tape.
  2. Remove the backing from the adhesive on the bottom of the carbon fiber spoiler.
  3. Position the carbon fiber spoiler on the liftgate:
    1. Align the LH side of the carbon fiber spoiler with the two alignment tabs on the LH jig.
    2. Align the RH side of the carbon fiber spoiler with the single alignment tab on the RH jig.
  4. Working outwards from the center of the carbon fiber spoiler, firmly press down on the carbon fiber spoiler. Ensure the entire carbon fiber spoiler is fully adhered to the liftgate and that all air bubbles are released.

  6. Use alcohol wipes to remove any remaining adhesive from the liftgate.
  7. Use the taper step gauge to ensure the carbon fiber spoiler gaps are within specification:
    1. Check that any gaps on the top/horizontal part of the liftgate are 1.5 mm or less.
    2. Check that any gaps on the bottom/vertical part of the liftgate are 0.25 mm or less.
