These tools ensure proper clearance. Leave them in place until prompted to remove, after all drive unit mount bolts are fully torqued. Refer to 19.

Position the shim tools as follows:

    1. Position the 2-pronged shim around the RH drive unit mount front bushing.
    2. Position the hook shim tool between the mount and outer bushing.
    3. Position the straight shim tool between the mount and inner bushing.
  13. Working from the wheelwell, fully torque the bolts that secure the mount to the body (torque 120 Nm).
  14. Attach the 15 mm low profile socket to the torque + angle wrench.
  15. Set the torque + angle wrench to a torque value of 35 Nm.
  16. Tighten the bolts to the RH drive unit mount (torque 35 Nm) in the sequence shown:
  17. Set the torque + angle wrench to 75 degrees of angle and tighten the bolts to the correct torque angle in the same sequence.
  18. On the LH side drive unit mount, fully torque the adjustment bolts (x2) to 50 Nm.
  19. Remove the shim tools, then attempt to reinstall them:
    • If all 3 shim tools can be easily installed and removed, the motor is properly adjusted.
    • If the shim tools can not be easily installed and removed, repeat steps 9 through 18.
  20. Lower the support jack until the LH strap is loose.
  21. Remove the LH strap.
  22. Replace the bolts that secure the 4-way valve bracket to the body. Torque the bolts (x2) to XXX NEED TORQUE VALUE HERE.
