Headliner - Glass Roof (Remove and Replace)
Correction Code 15203002
- 2023-05-19: Added installation sequence and headliner shipping bag installation tip.
Removal
- Open all windows, doors, and the liftgate.
- Remove the driver and passenger sun visor (refer to procedure).
- Remove the rear view mirror (refer to procedure).

Remove the upper mirror cover by pulling down to release the clips.
CAUTIONReplace any broken clips.
- Remove the LH A-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Release the LH upper B-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Remove the LH rear C-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Remove the LH C-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Remove the bolt that secures the headliner support strap to the LH C-pillar.
- Repeat step 5 through 9 for the RH side of the vehicle.
- Carefully release the clips that secure the headliner to the front header.

Use 45 degree angle needle
nose pliers to release the clips that secure the headliner to the roof near
the B-pillars.
Tip: Use the reflection of the clip in the roof glass to determine the correct placement of the pliers.
- Fold down the 2nd row seats.
- Carefully release the clips and dual-lock strips that secure the headliner to the rear header.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headliner harness at the LH A-pillar.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headliner harness at the forward-facing camera.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the headliner harness at the RH
A-pillar.

Carefully bend the rear edges of the headliner and remove the headliner
through the cargo area.
Tip: Remove the headliner at an angle and pull one side at a time to slightly distort the headliner.CAUTIONDo not fold or crease the headliner during removal.
Installation

- Lay the shipping bag flat with the opening toward you.
- Use scissors to cut both the top and bottom sides of the bag up the middle, until there is about 12 in (30 cm) left. The bag will look like a pair of pants.
- Open the vehicle front/rear (as appropriate) doors, set the bag on the vehicle roof, and then bring the "legs" of the bag through each doorway into the cabin.
- Tie the very ends of the legs together to make a very loose loop out of the cabin, over the roof, and back into the cabin. If the loop is too tight, cut a little more up the middle.
- Use the loop to support the headliner during installation. If the loop is too loose, tie an additional knot to reduce slack.
- Connect the electrical connector to the headliner harness at the RH A-pillar.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the headliner harness at the forward-facing camera.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the headliner harness at the LH A-pillar.

Carefully fasten the clips
and dual-lock strips that secure the headliner to the rear header.
NoteMake sure that the LH and RH front and rear primary body side seals are not trapped between the headliner and the body.
- Fold up the 2nd row seats.
- Fasten the clips that secure the headliner to the roof near the B-pillars.
- Fasten the clips that secure the headliner to the front header.
- Install the bolt that secures the headliner support strap to the LH C-pillar.
- Install the LH C-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Install the LH rear C-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Fasten the LH upper B-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Install the LH A-pillar trim (refer to procedure).
- Repeat step 9 through 13 for the RH side of the vehicle.

Install the upper mirror
cover by pushing up to fasten the clips.
CAUTIONReplace any broken clips.
- Install the driver and passenger sun visor (refer to procedure).
- Close all windows, doors, and the liftgate.
