Camera - B-Pillar (Remove and Replace)

Note
Perform this procedure only if directed by service bulletin SI-21-17-003. Otherwise, see B-Pillar Trim Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).

Special tool required for this procedure:

1060071-00-A

Torque wrench 1/4" hexagon (0.2Nm-4Nm)

Removal

  1. Remove the LH B-pillar trim panel. See B-Pillar Trim Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the screw that attaches the B-pillar camera to the trim panel.

    Note
    T10 (mini ratchet bit set). Torque 0.67 Nm.
  3. Release the tab that attaches the camera to the trim panel, and then remove the camera from the trim panel.

    Remove and discard the old lens rubber gasket if stuck inside the trim panel.

Installation

CAUTION
New B-pillar cameras are pre-configured for LH and RH sides. LH side camera has a yellow sticker and the RH side camera has a blue sticker. Do not swap camera sides, otherwise faults will occur.
  1. Make sure that the camera lens is clean and the rubber gasket is around the lens.
  2. Install the screw that attaches the B-pillar camera to the trim panel.

    T10. Torque 0.67 Nm (use special tool 1060071-00-A).
  3. Install the LH B-pillar trim panel. See B-Pillar Trim Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).

    Camera calibration data must be cleared using the vehicle touchscreen: Controls > Service > Camera Calibration > Clear Calibration.
